watch fifth estate tomorrow CRA , KPMG , tax shelter , sweet heart deal for rich

the whole thing sounds pretty bad, KPMG had a tax shelter set up in the isle of mann.
secret deal for super rich, the fee alone was 100,000$
the worst part is , when found out , CRA struck a secret deal, that the offenders
only had to pay the back taxes, no penalties fines or charges.
smells worse than the boyd fiasco .

Heard it on the radio - quite the story. How blatant some are at cheating the system and paying no taxes.

Shocking, but not unbelievable and still may be investigtaed further.

We were watching with friends, and our friend thought he remembered that KPMG was the accounting firm overseeing the convoluted voting scheme behind the CWB. I remember where when I voted for one person only, my vote was tossed behind some other CWB supporting candidate. Maybe some of you remember? It didn't sit right with me at the time. Just saying nad not really important, just interesting.

Not hearing to much from all those on Agriville that constantly run down CBC. Some good investigating reporting and not a peep. I guess if it had come from the former Sun News or that idiot in charge of Rebel news from Alberta, the praises would be pouring in.

Time to eat some crow boys!

On the contrary, the CBC did a great job, for sure.

it is one of those things we know goes on, but you like to think that CRA , would do something once they find it.
but those involved, KPMG , and the tax cheats are so well connected.
they can make things go away.

you would have to think that since KPMG audits a lot of gov. stuff, that they would know where the government skeletons are buried. ( that offers a lot of protection)

they get a lot of gov. work. ( you get more if you make us look good )
did it all go away , because they wash each others hands .

i think we know the answer
