    Very bad. By comparison Ft McMurray fires totaled about 1.5 million acres

        The photos are awful. Tonnes of cattle lost as well as burnt but still alive. People have lost lives trying to get animals out.

        It's amazing to me that it really hasn't been in any news.

          I did read a young couple in Texas lost their lives in this tragic event.


          Rural US and Canada don't get a lot of nationwide network coverage unfortunately.
          If this was near Hollywood or NYC there would be non-stop coverage.

            Sad looking state. Cows wandering around with all their hair burnt off. Calves with no moms. Young people lost trying to get their cattle to safety and people think we don't care for our animals.

                    Good Morning America covered it earlier this week, and for a few days. The young Texas couple, just married, lost trying to save their cattle. It was a very sad story.

                      Part of the issue was that last years rain made so much grass grow that was left over winter. Then wind, dry conditions, and fire danger became severe.
