It's lions vs lambs. When someone has the power to send people into danger without having experienced the danger firsthand, it's harder to fully appreciate the graveness of the situation. There really is no greater responsibility.

i can see some of the cuts he made,

but the increase in military spending,
what is going on in his head is a mystery.

all of the above comments from posters apply.

get ready for war, but what war?

feed the industrial military complex . is that what made america great ?
a great make work project. for some , but in the long run unless you have a use .

this may be way out there, but if the USA decided not to pay it's bills.
default who can call them on it.

like what would or could china do.

is it really that far out, knowing how trump operates

How many drones did Obama send out creating refugees? Bombs and drones create refugees, not budgets. We wouldn't have them scampering across the border if a foreign govt didn't cause it. Side note, Remington is finally laying off employees, the biggest gun run of all time. Faith in govt .....

Obama obviously wasn't of an age to serve when conscription was in place. Clinton was another draft dodger for sure.
Trump however set himself apart by calling out John McCain as not being a war hero - because he was shot down over Vietnam and held captive for 6 years. Coming from Trump who used 5 deferments to keep himself from having to serve in that same conflict. People in the military notice that kind of thing - the Generals. It rankles.

Your passion to attack trump speaks volumes grassy. Who has he attacked? I know where Obama has launched drones.

McCain is not a war hero. Veterans know him as "Songbird", for good reason. Maybe you missed that memo. McCain even admitted that it was true, in his book about Vietnam.

How would you have held up under Vietnamese torture 15444 - or Donald Trump more to the point? He wasn't going to risk it - avoiding the draft 5 times. McCain flew over 20 missions before he was shot down, he was one of the highest ranking officers shot down hence was a bigger prize and bigger target for the VC in terms of having the best intelligence information. He was decorated 7 times for his Vietnam involvement - read the citations here to find out about his conduct: http://http://valor.militarytimes.com/recipient.php?recipientid=23680

McCain was a POW, Trump is a POS for daring to challenge his military record given that he was hiding out for the duration of the war.

I agree. It's easy to criticize, but the world would be a scary place without them being so strong.

Really it just saves us tax dollars. We don't have to spend on military, because the USA spends so much

I wouldn't have went in the first place, as I don't support any war. So I guess I align close to Trump. Have no interest in becoming a state-sanctioned murderer.

But, many of McCain's men believe he should have swallowed a bullet before he started 'singing'.

This could present the theater: "Rex Tillerson says it may be necessary to take pre-emptive action against North Korea" (NP)

So The US is now threatening to attack North Korea. Does anyone think that China will approve?

With Kim Jong un the supreme leader and Donald Chump the greatest leader of the greatest nation on earth at the controls. Two leaders who like a lot of attention and have big egos!

What could go wrong?
