Let your wife have a carrier off the farm. Not working in local coop but a good paying job etc. When your done faming wow your retirement years are oh so much better.

Its a team effort and if husband and hired men run farm and wife runs home and household.

It just works better for some.

They taught that in Home Ec? Not in the 60's that I can recall. Lots of wives work right with us, so she looks after me all day! Guess we are all too old to have experienced this 50's idea, more like our mothers, maybe.
