    Farm groups quiet

They must have known something was in the works for the provincial budget but why so quiet?

Why not some backlash on more taxes?

Do they accept the saskparty logic because they voted for them and drink the kool-aid. ?

Did we as farmers create the mess Brad is in?

There isn't better roads around here....or any new town infrastructure on a comparative basis like what Regina has seen...

No more camping spots in crowded parks just higher fees....

Not better services in health care or education. ...

So why are we paying more for less...

Wasn't there a farm group wanting to buy the rail cars a few years back....now they are going to be offered to the fat boy. ...at a discount or probablysent thru rba like the land.

And why are the farm representatives voiceless?

Bucket you have no idea what is offered to people to shut up in order for other people to make a fortune easily on paper.

You may laugh but it is said in many religions that money is the root of all evil.
Many good people that get into these positions if they indeed are good at what they do they either get bribed or threatened in some way so that others get what they want. You have to have money to play the game. It is the one true
Shining light of democracy in that although money controls the game and people s thinking at the end of the day if you can enlighten enough people to things that are right or wrong your one vote is priceless. Unless of course you give it away which is what we have been doing. The monster is getting larger and more powerful. It s time for a wake up.

Sk party was a merger of PC and Liberal parties if I remember correctly. The Liberal part seems to have control of the spending lever for the last several years. Now they appear to have hold of the tax lever. We have liberal amounts of spending and taxation federally and provincially. When engaged in bad behaviour, just stop. Stop spending so much. Start with the dept. of Ag if you like ,so I don't point in another direction, just shut it down, stop.

Would like to know who the pastures go to. ...more than likely the companies that have financed the cattle eventually own the pasture as they squeeze the little guy out....

And by little I mean 200 to 300 head...

50 head guys like me are hobby cattle farmers.

Hahaha you must be from out of province to try spin the liberal thing.

The original 6 liberals were bought and paid for by the reform oil company. They were guaranteed 2 terms to ensure they got their severance. This move killed a healthy 2 party system when these 6 destroyed the liberal party for their own gain. Which was stupid because they would have formed the government easily as the Ndp were totally the worse inept group probably in Canadian history.
So I suspect those 6 were compensated well beyond the guaranteed cabinet jobs to betray a province. Any idiot could have taken over the Ndp. And one did as is example of what we are seeing happen.

What you have left is the reform party quite similar to the thieves in Devine government if you know your history.

Devine was a good leader who battled the reformers and lost out to their greed taking him down. There were many good conservatives that got lumped into the reform thievery.

Oil is destroying this province. We need it as an industry but not as a dictator.

Foragefarmer. Actually the WCWGA, as far as I know, is the only group who has come out with a press release on both prov and federal budget. Came out the same day as the budget. Some of the issues like PST on crop insurance is still up in the air and we are looking into it. We will be very critical depending on what the outcome is. We have made comments already and have been in discussions with all parties on this new tax issue being brought up by the Feds. Maybe ask where the commissions are instead of going after the WG. There he ones with millions of dollars and dozens of staff members.
Where is your sask wheat commission?

                  Vvalk

Good points about the mandatory checkoff groups.

Even for the fumigation thing expire or get close is making me wonder where our dollars go.

No sense in better varieties without a market to sell into.

                  Find a permanent solution.

Back to the budget where is apas, sarm, checkoff groups, etc.

I have found trying to talk to mlas myself is a waste of my breath...

The public should appoint their own independent- from- any-government-work forensic auditor and he should be able to go through any and all government payments. The thing is we can't see what is going on internally, $14 Billion dollars is a pile of money. Just saying, I would like to see transparency and accountibility.

There's zero incentive for the farm groups to attempt to stop a tax increase. It's easier for them to spin this as we need them more then ever now. Like a terrorist attack allowed to happen.
