So you're saying, rain makes grain?

Hey grass when you were still living over seas I worked the 80s as a summer student for sask Ag finding the drought lines trust me I seen some awful shit back then. Drought got to five miles away in its last year south and west was bad. But then it changed and rain came back for the rest.

So who was the intended audience you were lecturing to when you said "some of you have never seen a drought and can't understand"?

You ha ha , young Guys and new growers who think canola can grow anywhere, and guys who forgot or chose to forget the 80s climate changes and so do cycles it has since time began.

I lived the 80s not just observed them. The drought was bad but grasshoppers caused more crop loss than the dry conditions. Some of those years if you wanted to spray a few times to save the crop it ended up pretty decent.Do not imagine doing drive a drive by you would have seen hoppers eating evergreens and paint off the houses. If I remember some of the areas designated drought for government programs was a joke.

Just saying direct seeding and new canola still don't handle drought!

Well then 2 major markets for the cuffs friend. Lol

One for the bedroom and one using own canola seed. Most hybrids no no.

That I will agree with flat tire planting RR in canada or liberty farm seed is a no no. Percy comes to mind. But here we decommission varieties because they don't have goo traits for today's buyers, in reality the do so farmers keep feeding the system.
