When we visited Australia it was illegal to cut down a tree. The old fellow we visited had knocked down a hundred or so. The government guys were out counting them the day we were there. Apparently there was a fairly hefty fine for this. Never did hear the outcome. I too would like to hear mallee's take on it.

Tronald Dump has sort of slowed the Canadian lumber industry.

Softwood lumber and dairy two industries that should be guaranteed to make money no matter what...why? Same with poultry quotas. Grain farmers and cattle ranchers well you take what you can get and shut up. Why isn't there a guaranteed grain price so there is a profit over inputs then? There was a news article on cbc last night regarding starvation in Africa again so once more I say trudeau wants to give away our grain why not buy it at a fair price then push it out of the back end of airplanes over there. You would have western economy injection and food aid. Just a minute does that benefit quebec? I guess unless their throwing out cheese eggs or milk it doesn't so forget it.
