wheat pricing and basis?

Regarding old crop HRS wheat,

A company I deal with posts their prices as follows,

July delivery;

$251.31 Net,,,,$207.97 Futures,,,, +$43.34 Basis,,,,$6.84/bus Net

This morning the CAD is $0.73USD or slightly less.

A straight conversion without banking costs, I see the

MGX JULY wheat at $5.665USD/bus should equal $7.76/bus CAD

$7.76/bus CAD equals $285.14/t CAD

$285.14 minus the $251.31 they say is my net, still leaves the

the grain company with $33.83/t CAD, less the banking for exchanging the money.

Does that sound about right? Good deal?, not so good of a deal?

Here is an average for SK of prices posted each Wed based on SAF reported values based off buyers they poll. Average basis -35.39 for this year. The last peg could change; it's based on this morning's #'s.

Ignoring price here for a second, i would find out and make sure that what you have is #1. If it isn't you could be taking 2 to 3 dimes off that price and not realize it.

Depending on your location i'd maybe call around too if you do have a #1. Should be closer to $7 if not over in my opinion.
