I never experienced a tornado but heavy wind had done more damage here than probably anything else.....I know how she feels food4u.

Oh look guys and gals.... Saturday's high of 28 AND winds at 40 gusting to 60! Not on my wish list. But remember what I said about us each needing a bit of a different prescription. Mine doesn't include temps that high and I have allergies to wind speeds over 30 km/h. But I'm sure it's exactly what a lot of you want and need.
Happy seeding, take care and work safe.

As long as it cools down a bit and wind speeds drop by the time I have to open the ground up to plant canola.... can we compromise a bit?

Sumdum.... I've made business/work decisions based on weather forecasts in the past that never turned out too good. When it comes to rain and the poor chance showing in the forecast I won't be betting the farm on geting any meaningful amount. The ground I'm seeding canola into is going to stay sealed until the heat and wind go away.
