From what I read this is a very low turnout, lower than the initial round of voting for France. Same problem as the US - a heck of a lot of people don't like either candidate in the final vote.

There's no doubt extremists are dangerous. But so are leaders that don't acknowledge or foresee problems from their actions or lack thereof. Think Neville Chamberlain when Hitler rose to power. Chamberlain failed to see the danger that lay ahead and set the world back as Hitler got a running start.

Will France's new leader miss what waves of Muslim immigrants will mean to the future of France? Will he be ousted when the Caliphate takes control? Who will be first to the guillotine?

Besides dealing with Muslims is nothing new to France - unlike North America where it's a post 9/11 thing they have been dealing with it since the 1800s. Read up on Algeria if you're not familiar with it.

You maybe misunderstand the colonial aftereffects in Europe. There are considerable numbers of people in France, Holland, Belgium, UK and other European countries that were either born overseas in former colonies or are descended from those immigrants. Many are Muslims, there are issues around integration in some cases - point is this is not a new topic for Europe.

There are certainly some good arguments for Soros doing jail time but I doubt rounding up Jews for the gas chambers is one of them. He was born in 1930 so would be between 9-15 years old during WW2.
Doesn't detract from the fact Le Pens and their fellow National Fronters were collaborators and Nazi sympathizers.

What may be more interesting then Le Pen not being elected is the two previous parties that traditionally held power didn't even hit the radar. Macron is not the status quo. He's got immense pressure to create some change in the system. He's a "trump light". Focus shifts to Germany now, should be interesting ..... make no mistake the establishment is being routed
