    How to control dandelions?

Got corn stubble that we will be seeding back to corn. There is a dandelion about every foot across the field but they make up about 90% of the weeds - very little else showing. Any suggestions what to spray that with - getting conflicting advice on whether 2,4D is wise to use pre-seeding or immediately post seeding with corn?

Grassy, if corn can tolerate clopyralid and MCPA residue in Curtail M that would set them on their ass.

    Anyone else?

Grassy have a look at Sortan IS from Dupont.

I think that would work very well

Thanks folks. Klause do you know Sortan IS works on dandelions as I've read all the literature on it and nowhere does it mention dandelion. I did find this precaution in the small print: "CAUTION: Do not graze the treated crop or cut for hay; sufficient data are not available to support such use."

Partners we graze the corn in winter so fall control isn't really an option.

Glyphosate is economical....blast them with the highest label rate recommended/allowed. Then give them a bit of time to translocate it to their roots before planting the corn.

Corn isn't on the Curtail M label either.....but no one does anything off label, right? Contact NuFarm grassy, they may have a "recommendation" regarding it. Clopyralid (Curtail M) has dandelion on the label. Can't comment on the grazing thing without reading the label

                      DYODD....

Had an incredible infestation a few years back on newly rented land. Locals were sold out of express, so layed 720-1080g/ac of glyphosate depending on infestation level just before seeding. Never seen them again

Heat and glyphosate is registered for in corn. Gives really good burndown of dandelion but would expect regrowth of bigger dandelions.
