Yeah, yeah, yeah. Let's face it. Life is a bitch, and then it rains.

Think I'll go out and mud some spuds in on Mother's day.

Similar here farmaholic, been crazy windy the last few days. Got about 10 drops this morning and now nothing meaningful in the forecast. Very dry on top here - alfalfa seeded 2 weeks ago hasn't germinated. Our subsoil moisture must be good after being pretty much full last fall then 5' of snow over winter with no frost in the ground. Guys here have been seeding flat out for 2.5 weeks so pretty lucky compared to some areas. We're going to need moisture but there is time yet.

****ing wind.....WSW @ 50km/hr gusts to 68....... a buddy from south of Provost called, raining there now.

The "pressure gradient" is getting old and annoying...kinda like me.

A cold wet Mothers day for us and it has been like this all of May. Just a unrelenting NE wind that blows non stop that won't let any warm dry air come in. Good for the guys that can go and I am sure we will get a chance if the wind will ever change.

It's indiscriminate here... pick a direction.

My mother said when I was a baby I would be upset and crying when it was windy, some things never change...I'm still bawling and cranky about it now. One should think I'd be used to it by now.

did not think it is that wet here, furrow , but rained most of today, no work here. but there is hope.
sun for a day and we will be going again.,
strange , roads are going to hell.
roads that are never bad, have soft spots, on rises . had a hole appear in a field , 5 feet deep 2 ft. around.
i am pretty sure , it is 100 years since there was a yard there.
something is happening, shop foundation moved 3/4 inch in the last week or 2 , just noticed it today .

global warming or what ever it is, to put 5 wet years in a row , is just not the saskatchewan i know

I've seen old wells that have been filled in decades ago slump.
One opened up a hole at least 12 feet deep.

We got one that opened up in our yard as well that's about eight feet deep last summer. Going to have to fill it in soon since it's beside the cattle squeeze. Just got a piece of plywood over it now.

A f*cking CRUEL MEAN joke on lots of farmers, last fall and the shit goes on this spring.
The grid roads are all sponges here too, Highway 35 has a CRATER 17 miles N of Wadena.
Last year #35 craters were NOT repaired for two months!
This is supposed to be SEMI-ARID plains?
Only seen 3 DRY in my 45 years.
                              Only 2/10" today... with HAIL
