Will finish tomorrow, then tackle larger dry potholes...might need all the acres that "can" grow a crop this year if the Rain Gods are stingy.

Sorry to hear Cuban , I hear it's very wet up there . So no drought assistance for just large farms this year in your area ?? While the rest of us peasants just have to live with it or get out of your way ? Just wondering...
I hope that area dries up , never fun no matter what size of farm you run

Nothing. Maybe dry enough to start Thursday but there's 1mm in the forecast for this afternoon and everytime that's happened in the last month we got at least an inch out of it

Been about the same for some areas here as well , chance of showers turns into heavier rains

We finished our last field late this afternoon. Now it's pot hole time. That usually makes it rain, RIGHT!?!?!?!?!¿ Pot holes can be a futile exercise, take time the fall before chewing them up, then we ran the roller over them, too wet to seed on the first round of seeding but after no rain, low humidity and hurricane winds at times....some can be seeded now, so before the crop in the fields get too advanced we try to get in there asap so harvest happens on the whole field and pot holes both at the same time. Sometimes Mother Nature fills some of it back up with water but the "sacrifice" is more than offset over the whole farm with decent yields that may have not otherwise materialized without the rain.

Just one more risk we take. Tomorrow I'm going to tempt rain! I DARE you!

              Take care and work safe!

                  41% done
Got our plots finished tonight then on to Lentils tomorrow if it does not rain to much
Most years we seed our pulse crops first
This year the fields were the lentils go were to wet to start on so we have our peas done 1/3 of our durum , canola, chickpeas , pinto beans done
Just lentils , more durum, canary seed, flax and maybe some more peas to go

Will be nice to seed lentils can lift the mid row banders up and seed a 200+ acres per tank

Just has to stop raining so we can get back at it
