God no Braveheart....it was a comment regarding the wind! Should have made myself clear...thats how misunderstandings can happen.

Besides everyone is entitled to my opinion! No just kidding....everybody's entitled to their opinion.

Sometimes I think I explain too much, obviously this time I left way too much open to interpretation.

I just hope the wind can push the rain away from us and take it to the guys that need it.

My apologies for jumping to conclusions Farma. Guess I'm a little frayed. Wind is at 60km, some rain forecast, last bean fields are so wet I don't know how we seeded them. One field of beans to go and they don't even have all the seed in. The truck delivering has gone missing or is now 6 hrs late.

Bunch of the 2 leaf canola furrows blown right over with an inch of dust. Hows that going to work? Looks like a band of showers is coming through hopefully will stop this dust bullshit.

Thanks Furrow. We got them though and they're going in as we speak. This field is RR2 Extend. Star City variety. What's old is new. Going back to Dicamba. Also have Avadex on a wheat field that rain would help. Can't believe we're playing the "waiting for rain for the Avadex" game again.

Here's whats odd. Fields are floating on an ocean. It's been so dry though that hay is stunted and pastures are standing still. I actually think our air is too dry here to organize much rain.

Looks like "seed into dust - your neighbour gets your topsoil" should be the new saying around here. Some predictions of up to 15mm - would be much appreciated.

No big wind here yet, maybe 50km. How is the emerged canola taking the wind? I had to reseed some fields a few years back when big winds and blowing soil sheared most of the canola plants

Big winds with accompanying rain in central Alberta. Farmer 5 miles east of Red Deer had the roof blown off his shop-machine shed. It was blown probably 400 feet south over the top of his bins, took out the power line and landed on the highway. Power outages all over. Snow in Calgary. Quite a storm. Our power is out here as well.

“This is the absolute worst time for me to come up and speak to you guys because everything is in flux,” the president of World Weather Inc. told delegates attending CropSphere, an event held Jan. 9-11 in Saskatoon.

There is no El Nino and no La Nina to help guide this year’s forecast. The world is in a state of flux because the atmosphere is “very confused.”

“It becomes very difficult to find patterns because everything is just all stirred up,” he said.

..... Oh look, he was right, the weather is changing. Hilarious!!!

So what would you have rather had him say Tweety. Should he gave lied. I would rather hear him say he's unsure then pretend he had all the answers.
