Bystander journalism. Lol. Suppose they look out the window at the Regina plains and dream up a story. Maybe the look at Twitter and listen to the radio too. I am being flippant but by the time they are out in print the wire has already circulated their news stories several times. Couple that with Kijiji taking away a lot of classifieds, it gets hard to pay for in depth journalism. Letters to the editor are generally bent to a certain political slant and often by the same handful of people. What they should do is give them their own opinion column. Could have a friends of the cwb corner and Eco nut page.

Is Brad walls tax hikes and cuts to Rms and farm programs going to help?

You admit farm families will be destroyed by this weather because why? On top of shitty programs we have been nailed by the wall corruption taxes, answer all
            Of us this.

Is wall going to step up to the plate for farmers like has for the oil industry?

Don't do your usual two faced spiel make a statement finally as to what wall is going g to do regarding the huge disaster facing family farms.
Tell us how his tax increases and cuts to funding are going to help???

My god you are amazing, You laugh at the people flooded in one breath then try to say they need help because wall cut programs.

              Your laughing at farmers hurting.

That shows you really have no credibility on anything farm related.

Your a typical NDP say anything to get elected then once your in blame the previous administration till hell freezes over then finally the people wake up and realize you did sweet F#$K all and just put more Useless paper shufflers in Regina and Saskatoon.

Your Beloved NDP are not the answer.

Hahahaha honestly you must be on drugs or in walls pay roll. You never answer a question about what wall is going to do to help these people?

I m not laughing I m bringing the facts of what these people are facing.

Your reply is nothing more than a political post card thank god wall is in power.

I keep asking you to tell us how he is going to help these people but you keep squirming and bullshitting about 20 and 30 years ago. Your delusional and an ass for disrespecting all those people that are getting crushed, and all you can say is wall is great.

If I remember you're going to need more equipment when all these flooded guys go broke.

But like a typical NDP your never will one and have all the answers because your union brothers told you.

The flooding issue that's fed and prov. you know that don't you.

Ah your forgetting your comment. Aren't you.

I get you hate the sask party your blood boils any time they do anything.

So tell me what your precious NDP would do if they were in power.

Oh let's look to Alberta and their NDP on the non harvest from last year. Ah nothing but you put NDP on a podium and say they are great.

I'm saying NDP will say anything to get elected then once in power concentrate on cities and forget the rural.

Partner I agree with you totally no one gives a rats ass about rural both fed and prov. JT brought in more immigrants than all the farmers in sask ah we really do mean nothing. The sask hit rural hard with the tax on inputs like insurance that I hate.

Not like Stephen Harper eh? Fact is with what, @35,000 farmers?, Saskatchewan's farm population has been dwarfed by immigration for a long time. Since WW2 most years have seen over 150,000 immigrants arrive and since 2000 it's almost always been over 200,000 per year. Not what you see in small town Saskatchewan maybe but that is the reality of our country.

Grassfarmer, I think Sk3 is confused on the 25000 Syrian refuges Justin let in, not realizing there were appox 280000 immigrants that came Canada as well for 2016. That would be a third of Sask current population. Refuges and immigrants two different categories!

Not sure why he threw that in to begin with anyways, other than to deflect the criticism direct at his buddy Brad Wall for not helping out flooded farmers in Sask.

I would note that it is the Saskatchewan agriculture department's weekly crop report that estimated that five percent won't be seeded, not the Western Producer. The newspaper simply reported what the government's weekly report said.
I expect that the agriculture department's report next week will have a better handle on the more recent wet weather and its effect on seeding progress.
The Western Producer is well aware of the wet conditions. On our website we reported on the forecasts for heavy rain last week and will continue to do our own reporting on how the spring campaign is proceeding.
