I don't think our spring "rains" would total a quarter inch. Brutal!

Correct, apparently no PST this year if premium paid before July 1st. (I phoned in to ask)

Just south of us last year there was no meaningful rain till July 16. Canola should have been plowed under, looked that bad, but they got 2" and it kept on raining. They took off 60 plus. Couldn't believe it.

We sat in a bubble again last night, rains disappearing like before . Hopefully a tend that does not continue.
Rains keep following the wet areas west of here

That's what rain seems to do furrow. In 2010 once it started it never stopped. Moisture seems to follow moisture. Looks like another hurricane today combined with torch like temperature numbers.
            Lovely.

It looks like Kindersley has the weather we want this week. How much does it cost to move the farm over there?

That area up through Unity Lloyd and north is in a very wet cycle . And by the looks of the radar the trend continues.

So true. Ground is like a sponge. Cultivators are out working stuff to dry things out. Lot of early seeded canola got crusted. Hope this rain softens it so more can poke out. I've never seeded so shallow before. I have some barley for greenfeed left to seed on a real wet half. Thinking about broadcasting and working it in. Never seen it so wet but it can change too.

19" now since May 1. Somehow managed to be 70% planted anyway

Yup forecasters missed it by a factor of 10. There might have been .01 inch here this morning.
Not calling drought here yet but it might be appropriate by Friday. Don't need much rain but a little would be nice.
Yr.no had 2 inches forecast for this next weekend. Now it says maybe 4 tenths. Useless forecast
                            Hope Saturday brings some moisture.

So what's the so called expert forecaster "Drew" saying about rain? I know there was a poster on here who blew a gasket when someone questioned Drew's forecasting abilities!
