Not so much because I believe in effectiveness of slowing climate change but because so many others, including Europeans do, support international co-operation.

Thankfully the police and judiciary deal with facts and evidence not speculation and innuendo. The video does not show the woman being assaulted although I can see how it could be construed to be represented that she was. Witnesses who were right there (in the video) stated that the camera was hit off it's tripod by the man - she wasn't even holding the camera! There was no assault on the woman. Just more FAKE NEWS from Rebel media.

ive had a few scots here over the years all rural none for about 10 yrs though but they all told me Scotland is actually a incredibly wealthy country a lot from oil but doesn't really end up with people. They all agreed Scotland gets dragged down by rest of uk but didn't neccisarily want independence just a better deal?

Scotland is not an incredibly wealthy country, never has been. In terms of resources it doesn't have a lot agriculture, forestry are the main land use - the heavy industries of coal, steel and ship building are long gone. Tourism, whisky and tartan sales are the big earners - "selling our image". Oil you could say has been the big resource that has come on the scene more recently. It's in the North Sea and extraction began in the 1970s. It wasn't "Scotlands oil" as the SNP claim as Scotland is part of the United Kingdom thus the revenues went towards general UK expenditure but Scotland benefitted through jobs and investment in the sector. The SNP do some simplistic calculations claiming that if an independent Scotland got all the oil revenue they would be a rich country but they conveniently exclude things like defence costs assuming that England/Wales and Ireland would continue to provide that free of charge.
I don't at all think Scotland gets dragged down by the rest of the UK we all have our strengths and weaknesses.
The majority of the Scottish population are socialist leaning as the population is largely in the urban areas
- the former coal and steel places. The rural areas are really Conservative - almost a country of 2 peoples. Labour was the traditional party of the left leaning working man - way further left than any comparable party in Canada. The SNP are probably further to the left than Labour. It's why I and so many others are keen to keep the UK together - the Conservative presence in England counteracts the Labour in Scotland to produce a balanced country. With independence England would have a permanent Conservative government, Scotland a permanent socialist one. I didn't fancy hanging around for that to transpire.
