    Goose population explosion

Has anyone else noticed a large goose hatch this year? Like up to a dozen?
They have already mowed off crop back from the water at least 50 yards and won't be flying for a good while yet

I am trying to think. Is that good or bad. My mom used to say, "when there are a lot of mice, there will be a big crop. " maybe lots of geese will mean more rain for us. 😁 sort of like an apple a day, keeps the Dr. Away .... a rain a week now keeps the blues away.

Long ago when I was young and when we were young farmers, when we got a rain like this, we packed up the kids and had a bit of a holiday, either on Minot or Madge. By the way, sorry to derail again, has anyone seen what has happened to Madge?

        Large hatch, fat geese.

Local outfitters and hunters from Minnesota will be eager for your barley to come off so they can start blasting shells.....

Early broods I saw were generally small, have wondered if we are reaching saturation point for geese population.
