What would happen to canola if a minor frost hit it at this time of year and stage? Maybe if the crop had to "start over" to some extent the multiple growth stages in the field would become one! See 101, there's always a positive side to every story, but then it would probably freeze before it was mature in the fall anyway.... a negative wave. I doubt it will freeze anyway....a positive wave. I'm sea-sick.

I don't think a minor frost would fizz on it.
Had a late crop one year that was flowering when it froze. Never fizzed on it. The second frost when it was podded wiped it out though.

The late emerging ones never amount to anything. Looks good just before the crop starts to turn.

Agreed 101. The late emerging ones within areas of decent crop establishment usually can't compete with whats in close proximity. But "patches" of late emerging with most at the same stage will do their thing. ...just later.

The best thing you can do for poor crop establishment is go on a fly-in fishing trip for two weeks.....
