    Sask Crop Insurance-PST

I checked with SCIC today to see about paying bill before July 1 to not pay PST on the premium
They won't know the premium until July sometime, but PST is not being charged on Sask Crop Insurance Premiums in 2017. This came from Regina office.

This will be the last year without PST on hail insurance as well, they have managed to avoid it this year.
Co-op Hail quits selling polices for this year on the eve of the PST.

Can you imagine what the PST will do to a Whole Life life insurance policy taken to try and some what even the score between farming and non-farming children. A premium of $40-50,000 would need $24-3000 PST payable....really!?!?!?!?! For what? ...mismanagement and incompetence! Thanks SaskParty. Good luck at the polls next election, if you want a chance at re-election, I'd start back pedaling on some of the garbage in the last budget! $45/barrell oil not working out so good?

somebody has to pay for the transportation hub land.
i could see losing the gas tax exemption.

a lot of town folks were pissed about that.
          maybe rightly so .

but crop insurance .. some how that just ain't right.

it is not like you will vote any different next time.
so we all have to suck it up.

i want to put up a new building, i am gonna pay there too.

all govt.s can get in trouble . in bad times, but with the sask. party and conservatives
it is the same thing, all the time .

now , i want it now , can't think even 2 years ahead.
will sell their own grandmother , their children's future

sell all the assets, to buddies and if it looks like you might lose the next election.
burn the place to the ground . before you go .
let those socialists clean up the mess.
we will change our name and pretend we are all new and improved.
          fools em every time.

Wall missed the memos on several fronts. Wait, maybe he doesn't care to check the memos.

That Brad is a good guy! No seriously he gave you another year before you have to pay sales tax on CI.

Drove across big swath of sask last week wow secondary hiways are bad 2 # provincial hiways that turn to gravel for 30-40km. Can't understand why he is building a bypass around Regina out in the middle of nowhere. You would think maybe fix some hiways first. Just my 2 cents

They are still reviewing PST on insurance but regarding life insurance, if it's an existing policy no PST. New ones drafted after July or August are subject to tax. You can read all the service bulletins on the gov't website

Thanks for the input R5, that's good news for existing policies but I don't have mine in place yet.....still trying to line up the ducks and herd the cats. I'm still hopeful some of those budget items will be repealed.

Government paid funeral expenses for social assistance recipients has been changed.
