Saturday Night Weekly Insect Watch Report

Bertha Army worm moth counts from pheromone traps are astronomically high this year!!! But the moth counters said there is a strong odor of Naphthalene.... so most must be male!!!

Orange Wheat Blossom Midge are emerging in droves, rumor has it they're fighting each other for wheat crops good enough to lay their eggs in!!!

Grasshoppers are eating the aluminum and vinyl siding off houses, rumor has it the homeowners wanted to stucco anyway!!!

Cutworms have cleaned off square sections of crop, so have turned their efforts to pivot irrigation crops, rumor has it they prefer a square meal

Flea beetles are eating radishes, cabbages, cauliflower, rutabaga and kohlrabi because the canola crops are so shitty!!! Vegetable gardeners are asking for Lindane based seed treatments to be brought back.

Pea weevils are increasing in numbers despite diverse crop rotations and insecticide applications, rumor has it Pea Weevils(population) wobble but don't fall down.

Order insecticide early, don't be disappointed, shortage looming!
