Zilch, zero, none, nada, shit all, f$&kall,

Rained north of us some 30 miles north side lake at canora had lots.

Heat coming it seems a blocking pattern right over us every time north or some south and animate the radar and it's seen real easy.

Shit happens so far living of sub moisture and 3 1/10 rains in July did get the 1.5 plus in one system in June.

Hear Saskatoon north got a good shot. Seemed like everywhere north of Hwy 16 got some last night. Early seeded crops using it up fast with the heat the past few weeks.

Got some good rains around Calgary. Some near Cluny, east of city had 4". Most in our area had.3 to 1.4". Most welcome as last rain was about month ago.

Nothing. On the bright side they've dialed back the 95+ to just high 80s for the remainder of the week. 7/10ths 35-40 mi SW of here. One can hope that'll bring in something later. 2 cooler days will help things recover slightly as well.

Case I am enjoying the dry down actually. It's nice to spray again almost end to end on most fields. We're working sloughs and even cleandig the burrow pit up this fall from all the dirt running in the last 15 years.

                    Excess rain makes mud.

                    Rain makes grain.

                    Their is a difference.

But yes we have missed the rain lotto with that stupid blocking system over us.

                    Last seeded canola just blooming.

Just enough rain here to make sure the crop has disease. Actually hard to believe how high the humidity has been with the ground being so dry.
Great fuzz weather for the flowering wheat.

Maybe will take a prairie wide and extended drought to increase productive value of black soil zones to more in line with brown zones of Palliser triangle.
Was an eye opener to me many years ago to see higher land values of brown soils.
Think recent wet years have favoured brown soils and more drought prone areas.
Younger farmers who have not lived through drought will get their own eye opener.
Likely best to expect average or normal moisture but be prepared to deal with extremes.
