Congrats, great planning on Darcy's part for a slow time of year. My wife had our last kid May 5th, I told her she should have gritted her teeth and held him in till June...

Congrats you guys. Our son is a Christmas baby and granddaughter is Boxing Day and I'm sure they lose in the gift, recognition aspect of having birthdays so try and avoid if possible. Besides having a birthday that late in year makes it harder when playing hockey.

Congratulations. You are right it is a time of excitement and terror waiting for the first baby.
Here are some of my comments in no particular order:
Life as you know it is over,
It changes the priorities in life,
The best times and the most stressful times in life are caused by family,
They don't come with a manual,
When you are changing diapers, you know when they start eating meat,
No matter how tired you are when you are up with them at three in the morning and see them smile at you it's all worthwhile.
Congratulations. I am sure you will make great parents.

Chris you're going to love it and these kids are tougher than I thought. The only time I was terrified was when our daughter would quit breathing which led to some stays in the stollery hospital in Edmonton(which is an amazing place) but all is good now. Now she's 4 and bouncing with me in our 4440 raking hay which I did in the same tractor at her age. Our three year old son was with mommy in the discbine sleeping on the floor( love the huge cab!) and enjoys it to boot.
P.S. Don't let anyone be chintzy and only get one present for Christmas and the birthday. My sister's birthday is January 22 and our one grandma did that and it pissed us all off. Nobody else in family got that kind of treatment.
Before I forget....... Congratulations! ðŸ‘

Some nice work there Klause! How'd you find time for that with all those sprayer hours?
The fresh pickle crop should be ready in time to mix with some ice cream for the knocked up Klausette.
Best of luck with the new buckaroo/buckarette.

Congrats! Life as you know it will change forever. Not a religious person but they are a blessing. Wife and I have 3 42 months between them. Not super close like some but my wife and I were busy. My youngest is starting kindergarten this fall. Unbelievable how time flies. As I write this my youngest and I are raking hay and somehow he's in drivers seat and I'm in the buddy seat.

Well done klause. Best of times are ahead of you. No matter how busy we all are chasing the $, make the time to be with your wife and kids as a family, absolutely the most rewarding thing you can possibly do. As Vito Corleone so eloquently put, " Only a real man spends time with his family".
