China is the worlds leading manufacturer of BS. Not even they know what is all going on there so when they release data it is just made up to serve some political purpose. Been that way for a long long time.

In this day of satellite technology, should be able to get pretty good estimates of crop mixes and production.
Used to hear that USDA info was subject to political manipulation, not so much anymore.
