A few white boys getting together? Nothing like a little understatement! When white men wearing white robes get to together to express their superiority over every other race that is not just a social event.

By the tone of the responses and lack of criticism of Trumps muted response it is obvious there is Underlying support on Agriville for white nationalism here if not outright racism.

Did our fellow countryman not sacrifice their lives in previous wars to stomp out this kind of thinking?

And it is not just Democrats it is also Republicans who are wondering why their President is not condemning the white supremists.

Did you not listen to Trump. He denounced EVERYONE on all sides, doesn't that mean the KKK too.

The Kahdr case and growing support for white supremists groups and a President who is encouraging them are two very different issues.

My position on Kahdr has always been that he was a child soldier and should have never been sent to Gitmo. The Supreme Court of Canada ruled that his constitutional rights had been violated. He would have never been convicted of murder under Canadian law. Abusing and torturing child soldiers outside of the Geneva Convention to extract confessions doesn't cut it under Canadian law.

If previous governments had followed Canadian law there would have been no payout.

By not coming out and condemning the KKK and Nazis and only speaking against the violence on "both sides" Trump is effectively saying it is okay in USA to promote fascist and racist views. That it is not a problem for him.

you would have to be ignorant of the relatively recent history of segregation and violence against blacks in the US for this not be a big issue. Not to mention that the US was built on the backs of slaves and slavery.

Trump will set back the US in so many ways by failing to deal with this issue. But hey he campaigned on hate, blame and dividing the country so what did we expect.

This may be news to you but the Supreme Court doesn't make the laws. It is the members of parliament elected by all Canadians who make the laws of the land and it is up to the Supreme Court to make sure they are followed.

So your arguments about accountability are irrelevant.

I am not sure if I am a fascist or not, but I do get my nose out of joint when I see all the special treatment handed out to certan elements like *****s, blacks, browns, and any other colors. We treat our own natives with scorn but help people that are breaking the law in the USA and clamming refugee status and bring all kinds of activists from other country because they may be held accountable for there actions seems like a hell or a way to build a nation.

I think you are confusing special treatment with the demand by everyone in society to be treated equal under the law. If you look closely you will see that most of the groups you listed are not treated equally and are in many cases not doing as well as the rest of society. Since you are likely white, male and middle class it may be hard to understand that not everyone is treated the same as you because you have never experienced racism, bigotry, poverty etc.

Many of our ancestors were hard working refugees and economic migrants who came to this country looking for a better life which is what 99% of the current refugees are looking for. We have a good system for screening both immigrants and refugees. Considering that most of our towns and cities are full of recent and long term immigrants, if we did not we would already be in big trouble.
