Bio Pesticides...

Thought I'd list a few available commercially, and in research...

Serenade Max from Bayer... group 44 bio fungicide... Remember a lot of these have persistence in soils and plant tissue...

    Also interesting...
Evidence that the Biofungicide Serenade® (Bacillus subtilis) Suppresses Clubroot on Canola via Antibiosis and Induced Host Resistance.

Contans WG... from UAP, a way to remove sclerotina from the equation .

    Fracture fungicide from FMC:

There's a bunch more... many revolving around different strains of Pseudomonas fluorescens

27 products have been registered in Canada in the past ~15 years.

Interesting article on the NCBI from the Frontiers in Plant Science:

If ya'll wanna do some bedtime reading... this Journal is amazing...

And if you're wondering why I bring up so much organic/bio stuff... I started a research paper in spring... finding lots of interest info and lots of proven concepts for increasing yield, decreasing pests, and creating a truly integrated pest management program...

    (and healthy plants too).

Way to go Klause. I can understand not wanting to post your paper here , but I for one would be interested in reading it.

When it comes to pesticides, whether bio or synthetic, the part I hate the most about some of them is the "incorporation" (tillage) requirements. I really do think that is a step backwards. If everything could just be surface applied and washed into the soil with rain (ya right) and not photo-degrade. Or applied in the seed row during seeding. Or.... But tillage isn't kind to the land in the Slum of the Ghetto.....I wouldn't even say "they got away with it" before the advent of zero-till.

True farma... where is the slum of the ghetto anyway? Feel free to pm me

Maybe a disk drill could be used to apply them? no disturbance, no drying out the soil?
