Peas done nearly a month ago, less than half of potential they had mid june.
Lentils done beginning of August, pleased with yield.
Mustard done beginning of August, less than half of potential.
wheat over half done. Its like the old Clint Eastwood movie the Good, the Bad, and the UGLY. Very small piece ran low 30s with decent stand. Most running low 20s, some running high teens. Only checked one sample for test weight so far and it was 59lb. Looks like rice, so I'm amazed it's weighing what it is. Most of it is being cut with the reel on the deck and table bouncing off the rocks...
Soy will be horrid. some places burnt out a month ago with no pods. Some have a few pods but very small seed.

Hoping to get cost of production back on most acres... living expenses? not a chance.

They know it's a big area but it seems they get told what to report

Have been told lately by buyers that there is a large supply of quality malt barley in southern Saskatchewan.
(Which is why prices are heading down.)

Opposite to what a serious drought would bring and also opposite to what pretty much every southern Saskatchewan farmer has been telling us.

Interesting to see how things unfold.

Oats- barley down ,down on big yields and very good quality

              ELEVATOR STILL DOWN WITH REPAIRS.

This was today's email from Richardson. My buddy delivered last week and it took 4 hours to get unloaded even with a scheduled time. Hopefully they get it fixed good this time. Someone must be running out of bin space somewhere with that report😉

Nothing even going to hit average here.
