    You's truly insane Pharmaholic.

I sense a bit of market price frustration on this website lately.

Shhhhhhhhh, do you think anyone from the GrainCos actually follows this site?

      I don't understand why they'd want to.

Number 1 wht. Under 11 pro..
          5 whole dollars a bushel.
What ever we grow..they don't want..if we all had super high protein wht..there would be zero market for it.

Like I said before, they want it.....for nothing and with the grain markets about as open and honest with competition as gas stations (price of gas same at every station, price increase/decrease all locations at the same time) why would prices reflect money making competition. Don't worry I heard on the radio to book your glyphosate now....PRICE INCREASE COMING!!!!!

Who in there right mind would sell #1 wheat for under $6.00. I think the grain buyers will have to sharpen their pencils allot to get me to start the truck. It can sit in the bin till next year if they want to pay peanuts. I think you will find allot of wheat will be getting hauled into the states this year.

....and what could have I locked some in for at it's peak? I said I could/might net out better even if I deliver off contract specs and get discounted compared to the spot "harvest happy hour" prices.

Can't say I never told myself but I keep telling myself I don't like selling something I may not have.

Don't you know the FSU has a massive crop of everything we grow here . They are flooding the world with high quality wheat , peas , canola , lentils ... you name it it makes no difference if North American, South American or Australia has production issues . The FSU is the poster boy this year not only to keep a lid on prices but push North American markets down .
Funny how all of a sudden they grow they exact same crops and quality and more tonnage than ever before .
Sure they could of and probably did have a good crop but come on .... to have more than the short fall of 4 major export markets at once . Could be true , but it just seems very odd .
Anyway , there has been a lot of grain harvested the past 14 days and it is trying to find a home . Most points are "taking" grain at this point not buying .
Might be a different story come mid winter , time will tell .

Funny how USDA found the soybean crop larger than expected in Tuesday wasde report. Apparently they found fewer beans per pod than before but somehow each bean weighs MUCH more than normal thus the expected yield increase.

Realize this is now hindsight but, Minneapolis spring wheat put options have been effective in a marketing plan capturing the summer spring wheat rally . . . .

Agree but why didn't grain Co's sell at that price and be able to still offer it to us now?

I could get $5.25 in my yard for dry 58 pound feed wheat. It goes to chilliwack for buzzards or magpie cow munchies. Although I just bought some spring thrashed wheat for $1.00....... The cows will enjoy it in January though. Nobody tell them I sold the "pretty stuff" or else I may have a revolt. 😉

We only grow feed wheat since I'm not sure it's worth the hassle to get the premium most years. You guys have more patience than I.
