Alberta total GDP is higher than Quebec s

    7.9 vs 3.9 million people.

The rest of your post is equally flawed

Au contraire buddy, as they might say in Quebec. From the same table you took your earlier per capita GDP from:

      GDP Million$ Cdn 2015
      Quebec 380,972
      Alberta 326,433

      Population 2015
      Quebec 8.25 million
      Alberta 4.17 million

Klaus. Where are the stats on Ontarios GDP and per capita? You seem to avoid the elephant In the room.
Small populations plus large resource sectors in the west. So what is your plan once the resources are depleted? Spending one time resource revenue on day to day operations is a fools paradise. Norway figured this out. Take away oil and gas and western Canada's fortunes look a lot less exciting. I would argue that the boom and bust resource sector had been a drag on innovation in the west. hard to start a business when everyone wants $30 an hour.

Maybe study it closer - they are the same figures I quoted for 2015. For the 5 years quoted on your link Quebec has topped Alberta GDP 4 out of the 5 years - over the 5 year period their GDP averaged 10% higher than Alberta. Alberta topped Quebec only in 2014 - by a whopping 0.0042% - can you say "statistically insignificant"?

A similar argument could be made about Saudi Arabia. Huge per capita GDP compared to India, Somalia or any of the other countries they bring migrant workers in from. Are the Saudis smarter or harder working than those other countries? - no they just happen to be sitting on top of huge oil reserves. Same thing with Canada, Alberta and their migrant Newfies. Luck of the draw where the oil/gas reserves are.

Interesting to note the underground economy in Canada: Quebec scores the highest, Alberta brings in the bottom end.

Hey there Chuckup, I've always wondered how much you get paid to be a schill for the LPC.

Can you make a living at it?

Or are you so enthusiastic you do it for you own Liberal credit card with a $5 day limit?

Do you know how to put a bug up anybodys ass that disagrees with you?

How much do you get for your enthusiasim.

How long will you stay before disapearing forever like all the others.

LOL- Says the person who has only made 11 posts in total since joining in June 2017 versus chuckChuck who has made 1218 posts since 2006. Shtferbrains is indeed an apt user name!

I can't figure out why he keeps coming back to try to educate the rest of us, it seems like a lot of effort for very little appreciation in return. Have to admire the persistence. Has anyone here been converted to his point of view, is it working?
