Sf3 there are lots of high quality European tillage equipment out there amazone, pottinger, horch. The better stuff tents do me German made. Your yellow brand is an Czech goverment backed brand. Think kinda like if Rachel notley out here started an equipment brand. I'm not telling you how to farm your land, everybodies land is different but if your going to spend good money on a peice of equipment it might be worth flying over to agritechera in Germany in November and checking out some other brands .

That's one show I want to go see. This year I'm heading to Vegas not Germany. But a good idea, to check out other makes.

Not sure if we swathed it too early after the frosts or what , but it ain't pretty .

Don't try sweet clover over tillage radish. We've found out the hard way that some clovers are biannual and glyphosate hardly touches it.

Hows that 233 to swath compared to L-252
Gonna grow a bunch of 233p next year but might chicken out and swath some. See how the conditions are next fall.

Quad it swaths nice, once we got done all the 252 i just went out in the mornings and swath till noon then went combining. Couldn't do that with 252. Only spot it would shell is if the tires drove over it and side in crop divider. under belly roller and it also doesn't damage the pods. Im sold on growing some but not going to bet the farm on seeding all wall to wall. We grew L140 a year before it came out till last year had some 233 and l140. this year all 233 and 252 with a token 1000 acres of RR. After all is said in done the RR probably is in its last year being sown on our farm. Dropping 100%.

We ordered 8 quarters next year and its our no panic swathing program.

Im not wasting my time going 2.5 or less then have canola thats any where from 6 to 12 moisture to deal with.

Heat from a plane also doesn't work.

                      Thanks for the info.
We grew L-140 last year and it was very hard to feed into header straight cutting. This year we grew L-140 and L-233. The 233 seemed a lot less like page wire and fed better. Figured it might be reasonable to swath just judging by how it straight cut.
The 252 we’ve grown since it came out and has always been easy to swath. But shells bad if you get behind swathing. That’s where these pod shatter varieties are very appealing. If you get behind swathing..... might as well become straight cut on those fields.
