Dad never opted for the Nat gas service.... I was too young to understand the ramifications of that decision and now understand it was a huge mistake not taking it. A new service was quoted at a bit over $30,000!

Yea we did , good conservative riding , lol. But we didn't take dryer gas right away got it about 20 years ago . It was still quite reasonable . Sask energy wants $60 k for a friend to go 3/4 mile

Well...maybe if with proper supervision it was allowed to create your own 3 foot deep chain trench
and maybe if you could buy a 4000 foot reel of yellow one inch gas line for 75censt to a low eighty cents ... then maybe it wouldn't have to cost 15,000 to 30,000 dolars and up for a household shop service.

And for the creatures who would and do deny others an extension to "their" gas line that crosses multiple other people's property....congratulations for your narrow self interests.

And maybe if the local controllers of public road ditches (otherwise known as RM councils) would cooperate by using their moral suasion; and support use of road ditches to bypass those who exercise their "property rights"... then just maybe a bit of common sense and reasonableness could be shown.

Of course right now not everyone is in that predicament... so why would most persons offend those who are root causes of problems and obstacles.
