john deere is now going to make you pay an annual subscription rate to use computer systems installed in the machines you own. then they turn around and sell this data for probably hundreds of millions of dollars. only in agriculture can this happen
None of this will control the weather or the crop prices or the costs of inputs. Marginal efficiency gains swallowed up by fees. Will you still have to pay if you have a crop failure?
