Case sums it up perfectly horse. We’re not the crooks. JT is the guy running the country now and it’s time to quit comparing this with that and th Cons. He won fair and square and he is the man in charge. Being a cheerleader seems to be what you come across.

I been to the Cayman and actually went to the RBC and CIBC their. Can’t miss them. It’s a small island.

Ah but the main man with JT fundraising probably knows them by first name.

Farmers and mom and pop operations work hard and try to make a living not trust fund kids. That’s the difference.

Yes I travel and it’s interesting to talk to others in different areas and find out about farming all over.

Not a tax expert, but from every news broadcast no matter how much they sensationalize the story the last statement they make is it is NOT illegal.

"Examples of tax avoidance are: tax deductions, changing one’s business structure through incorporation, or establishing an offshore company in a tax haven" Quote from the Sun

So the the question to all those that hate paying taxes, (some on here may have tax havens set up) would you not do the same if you had the funds?

Many of you like pointing fingers at the so call socialist that you say are jealous of the wealthy and the business people trying to get ahead, but here you are all crying the blues about tax havens which again, are legal!

Yes I set up a corporation to lessen tax burden and allow myself to easier plan cashflow, make land/equipment payments, roll some inventory into shareholder loans as part of succession planning. All legal. I call it being smart and using the tools given me. As is offshore tax havens for much wealthier people than I. I actually don't have a problem with that either. They are doing what's legal. What's BS in my book is liberals going after middle class with tax changes in the name of fairness but don't even have any inkling to maybe make these tax havens companies pay their share. And we know why, they liberal elite. Do as I say not as I do should be their slogan. That's complete hypocrites. Liberals are just so corrupt. The so called taxes they want from the middle class will go the liberal elite and their friends and than will be funnelled back into these offshore accounts. Quite the scam.

Here is a good explanation of Trudeau and the Paradise papers: https://www.irishtimes.com/business/paradise-papers-justin-trudeau-s-chief-fundraiser-linked-to-offshore-tax-manoeuvres-1.3280733

Force all that money back to Canada and have them invest that money here in green energy. That should be a non issue as I would think the majority who are Canadians listed in the paradise papers also avidly support climate change .
It's a win win ..... unless they don't really truly believe in what they preach when it comes to their money . It would be interesting to bring up in House of Commons and see what kind of response from JT and gang lol

One gets tired of the hypocrisy by some of these public figure heads telling us what to do and how we should pay tax's for climate change and invest in Canada.
Then you see all this money in off show tax shelters by the same politicians , of all stripes, and people like chuck wonder why we oppose canon tax and other tax changes . It's not that we don't understand climate change , it's the hypocrisy of who pays and who gets to hide their money away . That's the issue .
"Do as I tell you , not as I do"
If JT and his followers are so adamant on climate change and tax reforms .... that's where I agree 100% Oliver .... put your money where your mouth is.

I find it odd that those held in high regard in Canada don't invest in their own country....

Why not pay taxes and have better infrastructure?

Why not have a better railway system to compete with Cn and Cp that do sfa to improve logistics and are happy to move 1960 crop production and pay shareholders that move money to tax havens....

We are on our way to third world status because it doesn't matter if you are a dictator or a wealthy person.....if you don't invest in people and infrastructure of your own country ...it's doomed to fail.

Watch the FSU, argentina and other countries kick our ass. .....mostly due to the fact Canada hasn't kept pace with infrastructure.

Sure we are furthest from port but that doesn't mean we couldn't have a competitive logistics system in this country....

Wealthy Liberals and Laurentian elites don't have any sense of guilt for moving their wealth out of Canada. They don't think it's patriotic to invest in Canada, or pay taxes in Canada(or anywhere as far as that goes), rather they think paying taxes is for westerners and the little people, and as far as spending in Canada,,,,well that's something for the federal government to do,,,, with others money, not theirs!

Can anyone actually believe the bravado and arrogance of Justin Trudeau and Bill Morneau, that they would so publically attack small business people, calling them tax cheats, while knowing the slimy, underhanded, tax avoidance their closet friends implement!

Makes me wonder whether Justin Trudeau, or any of his trust funds or numbered companies have any off shore investments to avoid Canadian taxes?

Has this question been asked of him?
