      The CWB told us that the railways are;

      Short of cars,
      Short of locomotive power,
      Short of crews to haul grain... at the meeting in Nisku on Tuesday... said they were well over a thousand cars short last week, if my memory serves me correctly.

      We were told not to be too worried... this is essentially just a short term hickup, and the railwys assure the CWB they will still meet the long term requests for grain shipments this winter!

      Too bad the railways don't have to pay our demurage at the ports!

        I am going out to Vancouver this weekend can't wait to count the ships out in English Bay, sitting idle waiting to be loaded.

            English Bay is in my opinion one of the most beautiful places in Canada. Lucky me I get to haul logs 12km south of the N.W.T. border in the Steen River area. Count the ships for me and I will count some Caribou for you.

              I counted 12 out in the bay. The retired Sask. farmer, transplanted to Vancouver said to me. You can always tell when there is a shortage of cars, rail strike, grain handlers etc. By the number of grain ships in the harbour. There is a problem usually half that in the bay. You are correct beautiful country.
