Being a MLife member and playing a little gives big discounts the more you play the cheaper it gets. I just play after a show till maybe 2:30. When playing they continue bringing drinks tip is all that’s needed

Hockey game would be great, Hoiver dam tour was very interestingl. I dont mind spending money for fun but I found Las Vegas stupidly expensive for booze, meals and events. Include trudging up and down the strip with 70,000 other people in various degrees of sobriety and physical ability. I dont see myself returning for a decade.
I spend time shopping Groupon getaways. There are some really fascinating US destinations that are nowhere near the tourist traps. Vineyards, Spas, skiing and culinary lessons, indoor water slides, hiking, rustic cabin rentals.
There is absolutely nothing special about trudging around with thousands of other people competing for restaraunt reservations and show tickets.

Fat Elvis at Hurrah's in the best deal. Free!
If your a people watcher the whole thing is more than weird. Truly Vegas.
No doubt the guy's got pipes.
Shelby production plant has a free tour. If your lucky an old guy that was with Carroll through it all takes you around and gives you the story behind the story.
Priceless if your into that kind of stuff.
Every time I go to Vegas I say I'll never go back. To much Nasty for me.
I won't be getting any comp cards and I find it MEGA expensive.
Search it on Wikkitravel. It covers a lot of the tricks and freebees.
And learn how to do Uber.

Heading home today.
Total cost of room with the 50 meal comp since last Thursday is 225.00 I paid more than that in Calgary for one night at the Staybridge when our crew went to Red Deer.
Used My Avion points for west jet flight 275.
You have to eat at home so that has a cost.
Bus was 20 for three days and it does the strip.
Taxis have come down since UBER and cost to airport with Taxi. 21 and thats with tip.
Beer rum rye corona scotch etc in casino if playing or watching wife play slots just give a tip.
Shows with the card use the two for one and get front row seats.
So I like Vegas every once in a while.

Might go to Vegas next year this time to do that marathon that was just on.
We had a choice of Vegas or the Disney Run . Wife choose the Disney one this year.
If you think crowds are kinda nasty at Vegas hobby .... don’t go to Disney during their marathons lol .
I have had my fill of people for at least a year lol.
Hobbling around Disneyland after a marathon is not advisable btw.
But it’s scratched off my wife’s bucket list ðŸƒðŸ¤•.

Have you ever gone out to Lake Las Vegas Resort in Henderson? It is little Italy built and terraced around a half-section lake that is fed by Lake Mead. That is where Celine Dion has a house. LLV was half-built in 2008, an awesome place, but has never fully recovered from the crash. The hotels, casino, restaurants and businesses haven't returned. We looked to buy houses and condos in there. Due to the fact that HOA fees are really high we were gun-shy. What really scared us off was when we were told grounds maintenance is about $50 million a year for 1100 homes, 3 golf courses, marina, etc. In 2008-2011, at least half the houses had for sale signs.
Prior to the crash, during the housing boom, ordinary Joes bought 3-4-7 units on spec, then the bottom fell out. One house seller whose home we looked to buy was a booze salesman who filled his trunk with cheap Mexican booze and drove from casino to casino selling it out of his trunk. He had three houses( all with swimming pools and beautifully furnished) and couldn't pay for an empty car garage. Another seller was a dealer at a Casino. She said she turned in their house keys to the bank but were just moving over to the next new development west of LLV to a bigger home (because after the crash the new one was cheap, so she was happy). Las Vegas moves on.
They say the casinos are hurting, This shooting isn't going to help. Guess that's why Canadians are getting great comps and the machines are paying.😎 Las Vegas is cheap-cheap-cheap compared to Maui or Atlantis, my next port of call in January. Am trying to figure out the cheapest way to get there Jan 6- 16. Any ideas?
