You know it's odd that the taxpayers absorb the losses of bombardier as a money maker and yet farmers are left on their own.....

Lentil market gets shut off ....Trudeau is in Bangladesh and Myanmar and sees the market he could donate food to.....pay Canadian farmers keep the money here and look good sending food aid.....novel concept.....and same could be said for the 20 million starving in Africa. ...

No will to do it.....but when bombardier or airbus comes calling a blank cheque is signed....

I am guessing that you are thrilled to hear that Canada is donating aircraft to Egypt Air. I wonder how much of the theoretical $1 B deal is actually paid in actual $USD and how much is export development 'financed'.

Uh , CGC is the regulator and supposedly following this stuff.

What moves on rail to the west coast by their numbers is what matters....

It doesn't matter if it's there already or hasn't been shipped...

There is close to 2 mmt of boat space and the port facilities are not full.

This crop isn't moving very well.

Lentil and pea exports are way behind and are now at a complete standstill.

So while you are toasting Yerry Ritz at his farewell/ retirement party maybe you could ask him where the weekly transparent reports are for the industry.....because it seems stupid to listen to a weekly crop report on the radio without a whisper of what's going on beyond the farm gate.....

If industry had to look for info on farms the same way we have to on them they would be planting sheep, felcro, rubber boots and a camera in every MPs office until they had the data they needed or wanted .....and it appears that has been checked off their bucket list.

Keep in mind the issue with peas and lentils is lack of sales. Transportation is not an issue at all in this area. Not affecting trade at all. Zero. Zippo.

            here's a thought ,
why not send the western Canadian wheat growers over to Russia.

so they can tell them how full compensatory freight rates will solve all their problems.
I am sure there is a Russian rail monopoly to deal with , just like ours.
and they can get the same amazing results we have here.

send Gerry Ritz , for the brains and to double that brain power , give him our sask education minister as a secretary
Brownwin Ayera (something like that ) do that one just for me .
it was bad enough to read her editorials , but to yesterday hear she is our education minister.
            broke my heart .
I disagree with conservative's, but how could you drop to that level .
you needed your own Sarah Palin or what.

just leave Gerry and browin there. please

If canada and australia both, had single desk system still guarantee you last years crop mwould still be sitting unsold and a pathetic first payment of $60 per tonne or the likes.

A question in june when prices hit a high of $306 port or $328 box trade in late june did prices come near to that in canada? Think feed barley traded as high as $250 port from menmory

If it's in one week the crop should be moved by week 14.....if year to date the crop won't move ....

Great that capacity at West coast is growing....why do trains sit for a week on the prairies after being loaded?
That would be the total for the first 13 weeks.

The RR's must be responsible for loaded cars sitting for a week. They need more baboons working for them

When discounts per tenth are double the premiums per tenth....things can get ugly pretty fast.

It surprises me we even complain about it anymore!

low protein wheat bids lower than feed bids. no sense in growing the best wheat in the world, but competing dollar for dollar with shitty fsu wheat.

So if Px is in such short supply....why isn't the premium 8 cents per tenth and the discount only 4 cents per tenth? Is the person who made the schedule dyslexic?

I know I'm not the brightest bulb on the Xmas tree but wouldn't logic say the schedule is backwards? Anyone have a believable legitimate reason?
