Boom it’s coming again maybe tomorrow or Monday Lentil/chickpea

Well a little birdy dropped a note that things are going to get real interesting as this winter chugs along.

I keep looking for positive news that’s great for farmers and it’s not Carbon tax. This tax is going to screw us ugly but the big news coming Friday or Monday is.

Lentils and chickpeas will have a tarif maybe not quite as high as peas from India but it’s coming.

Probably will be in place till elections in 2019 wow that’s a lifetime in farming.

Price of peas has dropped to no bids from line companies to one yesterday at $6.00 for yelllow edibles that’s down more than 2 a bushel.

So please Santa bring some good news soon for us farmers.

These games happened in the past and we were told to compete we had to get lean. Well a low dollar and high inputs and carbon tax it’s going to be hard to get lean.

    Peas screwed
    Lentils screwed
    Chickpeas screwed
    Wheat screwed
    Barley screwed

Can’t do whole farm oats and canola.

The one positive is that India announced today that they are allowed to export pulses from the country. Could be good long term to reduce gluts of product.

Unless you were working on a deal to ship peas to a middle eastern country... just fell through today because they can get them from India for way less.

      Poop.

Sounds like some short term pain which will hopefully lead to long term gain,

        Assuming tariffs are eventually removed.

won't be a short term gain. Election isn't till 2019 over their not our idiot getting voted out. This one could be more long term.

Now a good old fashion drought in India would change their mind very fast. See when people starves gov do shit. Angry hungry people get pissed off fast.

Time will tell but shits changing by the hour.

They will be likely reselling Russian peas which where worth more closer to todays pea price in the country, $6-$6.50/bu

If I work back a competitive bid it came out to $5.56 a bushel here.
