Now all they need to do now is remove all the corrupt governments and warlords, forgive the millenia old tribal vendetta's, create an infrastructure from scratch, and obtain the capital to do it all. Should take no time at all.

Seems to me that western Canada's best hope is for worldwide prices to fall to well below the cost of production for an extended period of time. To make expansion of of areas non feasible and reverse trend already in motion. Then all we have to do survive is cut all expenses and carry on while losing money for long enough to come out as the winners, sounds easy.

Every place on earth that is easier to farm/better climate has sh*t for politics...safe and clean here, but cold or winter/zero grows half the year.
