Might be a bit confusing we have 7 types of malt barley with different prices. Doesnt make malt reverts to feed. PS 3 grades of feed barley depending on weight screenings etc.

Theres 7 main grades of wheat listed.Plus durum.
Not all wheats are eligable for all grades.

Canola is plus oil bonification on top.

Mallee explain what a base grade is on a normal contract that the farmer is going to deliver.

In The Republic of Canada the contract is basically highest grade highest protein. Then the F#$K##$s do the grade dumb down program.

If they started with a #3 grade 11 protein and you had a 1 the market would sort out everything You would sign a contract for 5 for the base grade if you had nice protein you would be paid and if you had a two you got less than a 1 but did ok. If you didn't like the locked in price you didn't grow wheat.

Now you have Grain companies picking one terminal they own with 14.6 and one terminal with 11 and send the two unit trains to Vancouver at same time.

But farmers at b get the shaft and farmers at a still get peanuts for their good.

System is broken and needs to be fixed.
