With the big famines happening why can't our government for one thing buy all our peas and forward it to those areas? We re instead sending money which at times goes for weapons is stolen by middle men etc and when the money does go through they are buying food from other countries anyway. And yes there is the process to do this.

Does the pulse tariff not end up becoming really bearish durum values? Broad comment but in general both are grown in the same area. I'm sure there are regional abnormalities and variances from that, but in general I think that is a fair statement. So the longer this drags on and stocks have to stay on farm, something else has to get sold. Everything I have read on durum from quality and supply is that there is lots of both. So if there is no concern on supply, or quality, and converting grain to cash needs to be done, durum becomes a sale, does it not? I have no attachment to it as we cant grow either pulses or durum in Manitoba, just merely offering my opinion.
