STUDY: Satellites Show No Acceleration In Global Warming For 23 Years

Hey, read the article again and pay close attention to the statement "virtually no change in the rate of warming since the early 1990s." It does not say that global temperature is constant. It does not say there is cooling. In fact it does not say there is no global warming. Rather the study concludes there has been no acceleration in global warming. In other words this one study found there is warming happening but the rate of warming has not accelerated in the last 23 years.

Thanks for pointing out the vital word acceleration. However, according to all of the models, there was supposed to be acceleration during this period. Which is why the models are getting progressively further from the reality. In the meantime, lets just be grateful it is still warming, however modest it may be, still preferable to the alternative.

Take note of the first graph on the right side.Nice progressive line showing 2 cm/yr. But look closely at the tops and bottoms of the graph.

They used Tide Gauges for centuries that were there for everyone to see but recently only satellite.

Check the problems with satellite calibration against tide gauges.
