Excellent analysis as usual by Darrin.

I would love to see that graph on emissions based on land size.

I would also like to see the plus minus on the forests and farmland that sequester every year.....

I still believe we could go back to prior to railways....shut down everything and it wouldn't make a difference...

Looks like the usual one sided work by Darrin. SK must be world leader in zero till. There are huge tracts of grassland and forests in SK. So Saskatchewan is no doubt a huge contributor to sinking carbon on behalf of the world. How about the net effect of carbon sink vs emissions. Why does the Left always like half a story?

Because why tell the truth when you can skew it to your liking.

How retarded can one be to print and report such a garbage graph? 100 million acres of forest and 64 million acres of productive farmland zero or minimally tilled in Saskatchewan. The carbon consumption puts the graph the other way showing Saskatchewan a leader in consuming GHG.

There is an obvious omission in his data. There was never a mention of the GHG emissions per capita of the north pole. With just Mr. and Mrs. Claus there and the methane emitted not just by them but also 9 reindeer it clearly would have put them over the top on the chart. Operating under the assumption elves aren't counted in the census but their methane emissions are calculated we would need the government to step in and cancel Christmas to save the climate. Either that or based on the way these numbers are brought together get Mr. and Mrs. Claus and the reindeer to relocate to Singapore where the very same emissions now wouldn't even register on the chart to start with. Keep building solar panels sir, the bitcoin miners are running low on power.

Of course Darrin uses the facts to provoke thought and discussion, as I try to do here. All our huge forests sequestering carbon lets us off the hook on our emissions eh? well, not so fast - maybe read up on the ability of trees to sequester carbon in northern climates. New evidence is showing that north of 45 degrees deforestation would actually cool the planet as the bare ground would reflect the solar rays where the dark trees absorb. Trees in the tropics for sure sequester a lot.
Maybe also read up on the sequestration effect of modern farming practices - despite min-till, zero till and (the ever popular on Agriville) "work it black" you are still net emitters when you factor in the fertiliser, fuel use and machinery production etc.

I don't quite understand the reaction this gets though as the prevailing opinions on Agriville seems to be that warming up Saskatchewan would be great and climate change doesn't exist. I thought you'd all be celebrating your success rather than being indignant that your attempts to save the planet were being challenged.

Good point about Christmas ....all the extra lights ...is that environmentally friendly?

Disclaimer: I don't care for Christmas lights...
