In his remarks last night Trump stated that the U.S. has a trade deficit with Canada. His own trade department says they have a 12. 5 Billion surplus with Canada. How do you negotiate a trade deal with a liar.

It's almost as though he is willing to do anything to shift things to favour businesses in the USA.
New tax bill, EPA relaxing emission and oil drilling regulations, embellishment of trade imbalance with Canada.
Oh well Trudeau and Morneau have countered him but reviewing tax cheating small businesses and their corporate taxes, trying to implement a carbon tax on only Canadian businesses, creating policy for higher electricity costs, blocking oil pipelines within Canada by adding another layer of upstream and downstream emissions testing.
Let's take a vote:
Should Canadian companies be more worried about their businesses being hurt by Trump or Trudeau?

We have resources and raw materials ( cattle, hogs, lumber, fertilizer, oil, etc) we send it at as low a price as possible, they manufacture it, add value and jobs, economy growth etc and send it back to us.

Probably Evraz and their owners did what they could to protect their steel pipe business for any of the Keystone pipeline (or alternative lines or routes).
Probably a progressive wood working shop out in a town well off the beaten track didn't retain the draftsman that came from a few countries away. Maybe that firm was concerned about the loss of dental furniture sales to the US that has become super "Made in USA" conscious.
There's a problem HOUSTON.
