Was pondering the what sounds like a multi company retail price fixing scheme , while we will never see a cent ask yourself how much wheat was not sold in Canada during that period because consumers were denied a lower price staple and either bought less or changed their choice .Certainly not the hit consumers had because of the reverse economics of it but it would have had some effect I would have to think on ending supplies and thus prices . It was over a long period there had to be an effect all the way through the chain to the farm gate wouldn't there?

Yup, can't help but to wonder why all the protein premiums and discounts are nearly the same from company to company! And an inverted schedule at that! If Px is in such short supply, why is the premium for high Px smaller than the discount for low Px. God, you just get tired of the games after a while.
