We had a lot of great comedians over the years, but who are the notable comedians today - Trudeau or Trump? Seems like nothing is all that funny anymore.

Canada's current "show" is a tragicomedy....but I doubt it could possibly have a happy ending. The current act really is a joke but it isn't even funny....anything but.
Anyone enjoy Ron James' brand of comedy?

John Candy will never be replaced.
The current politicians you can laugh at how incredibly dumb sometimes crooked they appear but the consequences aren't funny.

I expect that if one was not the subject of all the jokes, (ie. a Canadian taxpayer) that Trudeau would be one of the funniest comedians in history. The rest of the world is sure laughing at all of his jokes.

AF5 in your analogy, It's not easy being the target of a "comedian".
So comedy is in the sense of humour of the beholder. Sometimes it can be tough being picked on while the rest of the audience gets a laugh at your expense.

Originally posted by AlbertaFarmer5 View PostBut at least in your analogy, after you leave the show the consequences are short lived, and you might even look back and laugh at it years later. The consequences of Trudeau's humorous policies will haunt us for generations and the only way we will look back and laugh are if the next generation of Trudeau prime minister is even worse than this guy, as has been the pattern so far. As impossible as that may sound today.
