Looks like everyone is sucking on the government’s tit except for me...that explains a lot.

What avenue is the funding being delivered through?
Grants? Loans? Aren't some of these established businesses?
-
None of those handouts are for primary producers....but count in the programs as such....farmers are not getting the help they need....
Perfect example is the fire on the west of province ....should have been automatically funded.....instead it was excused by the ag minister saying they were insurance losses....
Guys are borrowing money to get thru out that way.... no grants like the businesses above...
It's quite annoying....and shows the disrespect governments have for producers...

I hear you I have been trying to compete with the welfare cowboys in Alta for the last 50 yrs , I finally gave up the cows ,not the fight there are many cowboys that recieve app 50 mill/ yr just to graze there cows for a pittance of app 4 mill rent. I thought it would change after a change of gov but I guess graft runs deep.

And
-if those companies were to leave or go to other jurisdictions ( lower tax, employees, etc)
- they are economic drivers, ( schools, hospital, food hospitality, ) the person/economic benefit multiplier is impressive
- those jobs can be very mobile, they don’t have to be here - farmers will be here but fewer, because...
- and how many on here donate, cash to community to fund capital purchases, activities, events, not to the extent that these companies do
Careful what you wish for, the unintended consequences
