      16 inches in 2017
      24 inches in 2016
      Average 14 inches yearly....

That is a fair bit of rain. Would be too much here...half the year's moisture freezes snd stored in snow banks the becomes available within three weeks during spring thaw then June is our true monsoon month, then the July /Aug rain lotto. Our season is short....90-120 day crops. But it would sure be nice to have some reserve in the soil bank.

      Interesting data.

Wouldn't it be near the Summer Solstice of June 21?

            From the Weather Network:

            Regina (June 20) - 16 hours, 26 minutes and 52 seconds

Inuvik - All Day from May 24 to July 18
Alert - All Day from April 7 to Sept 4

            Can you imagine.

That seems like a decent amount of rain,I can grow a good crop with that much, as I member your yields it they seem low but I suppose with the temps you get you loose a lot of moisture. Do you get a lot of wind ?

                reasonable amount of wind.

                We have non wetting sand.

Most soils in australia are poor by world standards meaning they dont hold water

Some paddocks have a in ch of soil then rubbly subsoil its challenging.

2016 we had some paddocks did 5 tonne to ha
