    Interesting take on "free" trade agreements

    Some truth in this from laymans point of view meaning me.
    Reckon all sides of debaters on agriville might agree to a point.

    ps before you start the article,it really isnt anything about trump.

    Yep, a realistic assessment. One quote summed it up very well "....each government works to do the best deal for itself and its big corporations, which often involves entrenching monopolies. That's the opposite of free trade."
    It's why these deals are never good for farmers - they are designed for the Cargills of the world.

      Why does government view public consultation as a venting exercise????????? The International Trade Committee (Canada) held dozens of sessions, heard more than 400 witnesses and received written comments from more than 60,000 Canadians. 95% of these Canadians were against the TPP. Only 2 out of 18,000 Canadians submitted written comments in support of the TPP to Global Affairs.

        I think free trade agreements are over rated.

        Now that doesnt mean good or bad.
