Had a little rule change last summer while we got distracted with the whole "tax cheat" deal. If you have cash in the bank you might want to read this and start slowly doing a bank run.

What changed that they aren't talking about? This basically negated CDIC insurance

If Canadians using our social institutions would repatriate their money their wouldn't be a problem would there?

Or even pay a marginal tax on their money that they think is better off somewhere else....

Canada is a great place ...not sure why wealthy people don't want to invest in an exporting nation with everything the world needs....food oil minerals etc. ..

Hiding it somewhere else seems treasonous but then so does investing 750 million in India to get SFA in return.
