Like I posted a few months back it’s a lot easier to farm when you finally realize the whole industries need you and live off your farm and couldn’t care if you sink or swim just as long as some other sucker picks up the slack.

Just like the worker who does his job excellent for 25 plus years and gives everything for that job and sacrifices his family is replaced two weeks after he retires or dies.

No one cares about the primary producer because some other sucker will pick up the pieces.

It is so easy to start to fix the $1 Billion Pea/Lentil problem to India.....PUT A F’ING MATCHING TARRIF ON THEIR $2 BILLION OF EXPORTS TO CANADA.

Send the money to the Pulse Producers. When they want to get back to regular business take it off.

How stupid do they think CANADA is to discuss fumigation when there is nothing to fumigate...that would be called as “non-TARRIF Trade Barrier”.

I do not agree with those who think our trade would be damaged....they buy from us for price and when we are done letting ourselves get screwed they go to Australia etc.

Where is SPCDB???? Oh yah on the same holiday as Trudope.

One quick question for the CBC are they aware that India is a large exporter of wheat?

Yes we as Western mechanized producers are to blame for thousands of Indian farmers committing suicide because they can't make ends meet. That is the narrative that the CBC's Evan Dyer spewed forth in his summary of the PM's trip to India. To paraphrase he said that modern mechanized agriculture has gained access to the Indian market and has steamrolled the Indian producer and he wonders when the west will realize that we can't win like that. So just a question for all of you to think about, if we are to blame for Indian farmers killing themselves who's to blame for all the farmer suicides in this country? Let the CBC put that in their pipe and smoke it.

                    Misterjade9

Good that you picked up on that as well.

Well said...but we are still competing with less advanced farmers that have pretty good government support....

And right or wrong ....the government supports their farmers in times of need....so does the north Dakota government with canola.....we can only hope to be the bombardier family one day or a milker...

Bucket in my travels down here I came by Florida’s largest fresh water lake it’s huge. From the farming side I couldn’t see it because they have built a 80 to 100 ft high dike that carries fresh water to farmers for their sugar cane farms and vegetables plus fruit trees. It’s f$&king amazing yet we can’t even ditch because might offend our poor neighbours.

Canada is domed under our Boy Scout good guys finish last approach. It’s a modern engineering wonder.

Oh we can haul oil by rail in winter but for some reason can’t get grain cars to roll.

It’s bullshit and as long as we keep electing F$&king morons we’re going to get screwed.

Farmers first rest second for once.
